31 Days to a Better Budget

Taking Surveys to Boost Your Budget

Each day of the series offers new tips, ideas and a challenge to start the year with a solid financial plan.

I have to be honest up front and say now that I am a full time teacher and full time blogger, I don’t have nearly as much time to take surveys as I used to.  But taking online surveys is a great way to pad your budget!  You aren’t going to make a full-time or even part-time income, but you can earn enough to help your budget be a little more comfortable.

I use money and gift cards that I earn from taking surveys for savings and my gift budget.

I highly recommend Pinecone Research (which has limited enrollment and isn’t currently accepting new referrals) and Opinion Outpost. I have used both for over two years. These are my two favorite survey companies. Pinecone pays via Paypal and Opinion Outpost pays in Amazon gift codes, which are perfect for ordering gifts.

I also use My Points, Inbox Dollars and Send Earnings. Their emails go to a separate email address.  These are all pay to click and surveys.  I check this email once a week for new surveys and emails to earn points.

When it comes to other companies, I have also heard great things about Toluna and Ipsos I-Say Panel, although I haven’t tried them myself.

Some of you are a member of a survey company and didn’t even know it. Swag Bucks & Sunshine Rewards actually have surveys to take as well!

With minimal time per week, you can use survey companies to help your budget breathe a little easier!

I’m not a financial planner or a budget expert. I’ll just be walking you through the steps I take each time my budget needs an adjustment. In fact, I’ll be participating myself!
